English Name: Firefly
Today I felt like its time for some hamstrings opening.When you don`t stretch regularly,the muscles can get out of shape so you might want to do a bit of stretch on a daily basis.This is an advanced pose and requires good sense of balance and core engagement, And yes, be prepared for lifting your body off the floor. When you lift your pelvis, you should press your thumbs and index fingers into the ground.
Some of the poses you can include in your daily practice if your peak pose is Tittibhasana:
Malasana

Bakasana

Trikonasana

Utthan Pristhasana

and Prasarita padottanasana

Benefits of Tittibhasana : -Stretches the inner groins and back torso
-Strengthens the arms and wrists
-Tones the belly
-Improves sense of balance
Contraindications and Cautions:
Shoulder, elbow, wrist and low back injuries
I really enjoy practicing this pose , maybe because this was one of the easiest advanced poses that I managed to do when I first started with practicing yoga 23 years ago.
It`s all about the technique but you should boost your core strength, in order to be able to do it properly.
In the end, we all know why we started with practicing yoga in the first place. It`s not about being able to do a cool pose, but the pose can be even cooler when you know which benefits you get from it,especially if you are properly aligned.
